Welcome to the
Molecular Biophysics and Soft Matter
Research Group

at the Department of Physics and Chemistry
University of Palermo, ITALY.

The main interest of this research group is the experimental study of physical systems characterized by a complex landscape of configurational energies, ranging from proteins to vitreous systems. The acknowledged expertises in the field of protein dynamics were applied to study protein aggregation and amyloid formation.

Our expertise in various spectroscopy techniques and in fluorescence microscopy is also used to perform analysis of biocompatible polimer composites and nanocomposites.

The group carries out technological transfer activity in the agro-food field.

In the following pages you will find more information about who we are and our research activities.
